MSp 02 - We're Here in Casablanca, Morocco!

 

Our  plane  rides  (plural)  included   . .  a   PLUS   and a   MINUS   

The   "PLUS"   was  an    unexpected   EXTRA   leg   ( 4th  one )
. .  taking  us  . .   to   Bologna,  Italy  

the  only  flight  that  had  2  seats  available !!
   

The  65  minute  cargo  transfer  time  between  planes  from  . .  leg  2   Detroit  >  Amsterdam
to  . .  leg  3   Amsterdam  >  Casablanca
was  cut  short  by  very  crowded  runway  traffic 

Since  our  2  bags   (and  everyone  else's  who  needed  transfer)
 were  not  yet  moved  onto  Air  Moroc
airline  policy  would  not  let  us  board  our  3rd  and  final  leg

We  joined  the multitudes  in  line  wondering  about  this  'Plan B'.

Plan B  turned  out  to  be  an  extra  jaunt  . .   leg  3    Amsterdam  >  Bologna  (Italy)
before   . .   boarding   leg  4    Bologna  >  Casablanca

Long  story  short
we  got  to  our  Casablanca  hotel
( not  in  early  afternoon . . but . . )
just  before  midnight
  Moroccan  Standard  Time

We  are  staying  near  . .   Casa  Voyageurs  Train  Station

Early  this  evening  we  hope  . .  the    "MINUS"   shows  up
  

The  connection  time  in  Bologna  was  . .  even  shorter  ( 55  minutes )   

They  put  "us"  on  anyway  disregarding  the  policy  that  our  bags  must  travel  with  us  . .  

No  bags   . .   when  we  got  to  Mohammed  Airport   

We  hope  to  get  them  tomorrow  -  ( round  trip  by  train  to / from  airport )   . .
if  the  one  daily  8:30  p.m.  flight  from  Italy  . .  brings  them  tonite

We  are  in  a  nice  garden  cafe  . .

 having  Moroccan   Soup  .  Bread  .  Dates  .  Honey Cookie 

and  our  3rd  sample  ( full  pots )  of  Tea  . .
Moroccan  Mint   ( fabulous ),   PepperMint,  and  Limón  

All . .  flavors  we  are  going  to  enjoy  over  and  over  the  next  four  weeks  

We  found  Rick's Cafe.     Will  hope  to  get  there  before  departure   

Tables  are  filling,   must  close 

The  little  'lightning'  cord  to  transfer  photos  to  iPad
is  in  our   'yet - to - arrive'   travel  bag

We'll  keep  it  with  us  at  all  times  from  now  on   . .

Determined  . .   to  remain   🙃   'calm'
