A  Khoesaan  word  meaning   "Mountain in the Sea"  . . 

Table Mountain   is  a  major  feature  in  this  region  . .  Over  3,500  feet  high 

. .  In  afternoon  summer  heat  . .  we  take  the  Cableway  both  directions.
