Mysterious Coloring and Texture . . does it signify something ?
We all enjoy the Camp near . . Sesriem . . for several reasons
. . one being . . that we are setting up tents once . . leaving them there . . for both nights
. . The scenery is pleasant with each camp group surrounded by
a seat - high stone wall . . kind of cozy . . for all of us non - campers !
The sky is bright . . Afternoon heat is 'up there' . . probably in the '90s
. . No more rain and . . During the nite . . ( imagine our trip to the bathroom ) . .

. . at the highest point! ) Look closely . . You'll find . . Tomo . Steve . Rosie . K !!
. . ( Rusty and Wrinkles are missing their Saharan Berber guide's firm hand
. . and their companion climber and camera - swopper 'Dunja' from Munich !

Looking down . . Find our Truck . . ( off the right edge of the parking lot )
We'll have Breakfast right there . . .
Zooming in above . . the 4 on the right are . . Rosie . Steve . K . Tomo
. . looking across Dune 'tops'.
Rosie says . . Australians pronounce . . 'dune' . . .
like the Namibians do . . "Djune"
Moment by Moment . . Colors change . . Heading down again . . is much easier
Before Lunch . . we Sand Hike into "Dead Lake" . . . ("Sossusvlei")

2nd largest Canyon in the World !
. . "Do we hear Voices down there ?"
Down . . down
Is that Rusty ? . . or . . Wrinkles ? . . way in there !!

Everyone pitches in . . to set - up and clean - up !
Before Dawn . . we have to bid "SIGI" farewell.
Her husband is paralyzed from the neck down from a vehicle accident about 17 years ago.
He tends the Screen that Monitors this Entrance. They have 2 grown sons.
She and this . . Tamboti Guest House . . are easy to Love.
The Taxi Driver . . . included in photo above . .
told us many things on the way to our flight.
Among them . . that the Reason most Yards and Windows are fortified with Iron Bars
. . is NOT ONLY because of Theft or Break - Ins . .
but because . . the Insurance Companies will NOT 'Reimburse' or Pay Out . .
IF . . you have "NOT properly PROTECTED your Property".
More troubling, he adds, is that the . .
Security Companies are "working ( in cahoots with ) the thieves".
A major news item in Windhoek !!
What an Un -Typical week
. . in this German - colonized English - speaking African - nation called . . Namibia
Rusty and Wrinkles will see you back in Cape Town, South Africa
