After taking the train up to the CHEESE and CHOCOLATE towns at and near Gruyeres
we strolled along the waterfront promenade of
MONTREUX
a Swiss Gymnastics and Acrobatic Festival was in full swing
and an Air Show . . that we had seen practicing in the sky from Lausanne
Back in Vevey for the end of the day . . we find a Food Festival on it's own promenade.
Lots of ethnic round-the-world tastes to choose from

Charlie Chaplin
spent the last 25 years of his life here in Vevey with his 4th wife and their 8 children
At one time the American FBI and powers - that - be in the U.S. government
suspected him of being pro-Communist
